Frequently Asked Questions

Here are the answers to some of the questions we are commonly asked.

A fine arts degree focuses on a specific visual or performing art, such as painting, theatre, music, or graphic design. It is more professional-based and concentrates less on the liberal arts than a regular bachelor’s degree program.

A Bachelor of Arts program offers a more interdisciplinary approach to studies. You will have more flexibility in exploring other subjects within the subject matter. A Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) program, on the other hand, is more focused on the area of study and may concentrate on a specialized subject matter, such as photography or digital art.

Earning a fine arts degree is a good option if you know which professional field you wish to pursue. Since the degree is more focused on a specific area, you can develop and hone your skills in that subject. A BFA degree will better prepare you for a specific career.
