Lindenwood University’s online Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art and Design program helps you develop the skills needed to thrive in the digital art and design industry. With four available emphases, you can hone your abilities further to meet your professional goals. Choose from digital art, digital photography, graphic design, and web and user experience.
Through the comprehensive curriculum, our online BFA program explores the theories and techniques of studio art, as well as the software skills used in digital media.
Our fine arts degree program provides you with multiple opportunities to collaborate with your classmates and faculty. In addition, you will have the option to attend an art and design forum to gain insight from guest speakers and other students.

Our online BFA program is made up of 120 credit hours, including 42 credit hours devoted to general education requirements.
The program’s core consists of 36 credit hours that explore the foundations of art and design and includes a capstone course.

To apply to our online BFA program, you must submit the following:
- Online application
- All official transcripts from all colleges and universities previously attended. If you have fewer than 24 college credits, you will need to submit your official high school transcript.
If cumulative college GPA is below a 2.0, the following will also be required:
- Letter of intent/personal statement (1–2 page document indicating your interest in the program and Lindenwood)
